It is Summer, a time to bring out your shorts and show off your legs with pride.
This is good news for me, as I would say that my calves are my best body part.
If there was such a thing as a calf model, my calves would be the David Gandy of the modeling scene.
However, while it is great to have the opportunity to show off this part of my anatomy; there is a question that hangs over Summer like no other.
What is the appropriate length of ones shorts?
Too long and you can easily be mistaken for having had a recent growth spirt, and sporting a pair of ill fitting trousers.
On the other side of the length coin, and you can become dangerously close to being mistaken for wearing hot pants, perfectly fine if you are going for that vibe, but problematic if you are not.
And so I believe it important for there to be a universal understanding of what is acceptable. In my opinion, the range should be two inches above the knee and no longer than to the bottom of your knee.
There is, however, one universal truth about wearing shorts; you can never wear them with socks.
